– 庵治石のダイニングテーブル –

庵治石は香川県庵治町・牟礼町で採石され、古くよりお墓などの石材に用いられ、磨く度に美しい斑模様が浮かび上がる高級石材として知られています。素材としてはもちろんのこと、長年培われた石職人の技術によって私たちの暮らしに寄り添ってきました。そんな庵治石をより身近に、家族や暮らしの中心となる食卓の場で永く引き継がれていく事を願い、ダイニングテーブルとしてデザインしました。テーブルの縁に施した庵治石はひんやりとした心地よさに加え、職人の手で丁寧に削り出された肉厚で優しい手触りは、掴んだり撫でたり、日々の暮らしの中でつい愛でたくなります。
庵治石の味わいたっぷりのダイニングテーブルです。

-Aji Stone dining table-
Aji stone is quarried in Aji Town and Mure Town in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
This stone has been used for graves since ancient times.
For many years, it has been a part of our lives thanks to the skills of stone craftsmen.
We designed a dining table that makes Aji stone feel more familiar. Aji stone is used on the edge of the table. It has a thick edge carved by hand by a craftsman.You will want to grab it, stroke it, and admire it.
We hope that it will be passed down for many years as a dining table, the center of family and life.
This dining table is full of the flavor of Aji stone.
