Owaranai / Floor Lamp

藁細工は、収穫した藁を『藁綯い(わらない)』という工程によって縄にするところからはじまります。藁綯いの作業は藁を継ぎ足し継ぎ足し延々と続くため、当時の人々の間では藁綯いのことを『おわらない』と言いながら、藁を綯っていたそうです。これからも人々の生活に寄り添っていけるよう、一本一本、人の手で丁寧に綯って作られた藁縄を巻いた手持ち床置きの照明をデザインしました。程よい距離感で暮らしの中にやさしい藁の存在感と温かみを感じられます。

From the fact that, people say things WARANAI work as “OWARANAI (Endless)”.We hope that the straw will continue to exist in the future in people’s lives.We designed a new tool of straw.
